"Students loved the performance. It was engaging, exciting, entertaining and high energy."

"Best show we've ever had!"

St Mary's PS, NSW

"As we have many AEL students, Andy's use of music and Rhythms from other cultures was particularly engaging. They were able to get up and dance to music that was familiar to them. We even had one of our more charismatic Grade 8's do a rap with Andy in Swahili!!"

SAMPLERS TO SINGALONGS: showcasing many Music styles and Cultures using contemporary instruments and electronics in order to engage, educate and inspire.

Andy Jones is a best selling children's entertainer, author and songwriter. He has released 5 CDs, 12 books and 5 audiotapes through the ABC. Andy has performed at and hosted some of the biggest events in Sydney – New Year's Eve at Darling Harbour, Mayor's Christmas Eve Ball at Hyde Park, Australia Day at Parramatta Park and the Kids' Day out in every major city in Australia. Electric Music is Andy's third performance offering for schools, adding to his highly popular Kam-o-kidz and Trivia Time.

Electric Music presented by Andy Jones is a musical smorgasbord of sounds, styles and cultures. Students will be totally involved from start to finish in the creation and performance of music. Musical styles such as Hip Hop, RnB, Pop, Jazz, Country, Classical, Heavy Metal, Dance and music from other cultures will be explored, explained, performed and enjoyed by the students. Andy, with the help of the students and modern gadgetry, will be creating and recording music on the spot – a "Loop Based" composition using the students lyrics, and input.

It is a highly interactive performance, with up to 12 students being invited on stage to be dressed in different musical genre clothes and accessories and given an instrument to become the accompanying 'Electric Music Band'. The remaining audience members will be singing, chanting, clapping and rock and rolling to the music that is being created. Andy uses a variety of instruments to augment and embellish the show such as: electric guitar, electronic drum pads, vocal processor, percussion, prerecorded backing tracks, headset microphone, pa system and an iPod and Mac PC.

The show is pumped through a small PA system to give it that authentic sound and feel. Electric Music aims to highlight many areas of the schools' curriculum and also add some original performance and content from the students.

Electric Music will rock the school . . . . . . but keep the roof on!
